Prototyping

What is Prototyping?

Prototyping is the process of quickly putting together a working model called a prototype in order to test various aspects of a design, illustrate ideas or features and gather early user feedback. Prototyping is often treated as an integral part of the system design process, where it is believed to reduce project risk and cost. Often one or more prototypes are made in a process of incremental development where each prototype is influenced by the performance of previous designs, in this way problems or deficiencies in design can be corrected. When the prototype is sufficiently refined and meets the functionality, robustness, manufacturability and other design goals, the product is ready for production.

Prototyping is most useful for the products or systems where there are lot of interactions with users. It helps during analysis and design phases of software development life cycle (SDLC) e.g. Internet based (on-line) application or product.

How PTSOL can help?

Over last several years, PTSOL has gathered expertise and experience in Software Prototyping leveraging its knowledge and experience in Human Computer Interface (HCI). We use various techniques and methodologies for creating prototypes.

At PTSOL, the processes have been fine-tuned to deliver best quality prototype without compromising on quality and time. This helps our customers to see it before actually putting it into real use. Our expert team works round the clock.

Its an iterative process that helps our customers define, refine and see it before moving any further into SDLC.

Our focus is to improve the interaction between users and computers by making prototyping and the application/product more user friendly and easy to use.

The beauty of this process is that it’s not only iterative but it also lets customer modify it at a later stage of SDLC. As a result, the prototype can be used for customer demos and getting end user feedbacks that goes back into software analysis and design. This reduces re-work and changes that keeps the cost down for our customers.

Development

There is no way a software development project can go without any tools, resources such as people, computers etc. and of course the processes. Development is a fundamental part of SDLC that cannot be ignored or undermined in anyway.

How PTSOL can help?

PTSOL has been doing software development and helping our customers achieve their objectives in SDLC and product delivery for last several years. With robust development processes and resources, PTSOL has been consistent in deliverying software development projects at an affordable price and time and to customer's satisfaction.

PTSOL would engage itself from the start of SDLC e.g. requirements gathering and prototyping and would remain engaged with the customer through-out the life cycle. The responsibility doesn't end there but can continue by means of on-going support and/or sustaning engineering.

Internationalization

Companies with global presence understand the need and importance of internationalizing their databases, technical capabilities, softwares, systems, formats etc.

Localizing softwares, manuals, documents and websites will give customers a direct presence in different parts of the world. The internet is reducing boundaries between various countries and cultures. Companies can internationalize and localize their products and services and reduce this gap further.

How PTSOL can help?

PTSOL helps customers to bridge the gap by helping them go global on internet by providing services in internationalization and localization of softwares, manuals, publishing documents, websites etc. Our language experts work closely with the project teams and deliver the language version/s as part of SDLC.

Some of the languages we have been providing these services are - Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), italian, Spanish, French, Dutch, Deutsch.

PTSOL's experience can help customers get that head start over its competitors and reduce the cost and trouble of any rework or additional efforts required to do any such services after the project or software is delivered.

We understand that internationalization and localization should be part and parcel of any project and should be embedded into the project plan.

Sustaining Engineering

Sustaining Engineering really helps customers reduce total cost of ownership and also helps to maintain the same or better relationship with their customers.

One of the challenges that many software companies face is about putting their engineering/development resources on product versions that are no longer supported (officially) but due to customer requests, it becomes a challenge for engineering and sales teams to refuse any resource diversion to these old versions.

The engineering/product teams want to spend their energy and effort on new product design and builds but cannot do so due to the pressures described above.

That's where PTSOL can help its customers to overcome these challenges without impacting customer relationships.

PTSOL's customers recognize that while sustenance engineering, quality assurance, and integration activities do involve technical skills, they also require significant amounts of repetitive work. PTSOL with its large pool of technical and functional resources, can undertake such projects and deliver the same quality in a shorter time.

How PTSOL can help?

PTSOL Sustaining Engineering team has a primary objective of fixing your product defects and keeping the backlog within acceptable limits. We familiarize ourselves intimately with your product's functionality, installation, build process, debugging techniques, and source tree architecture to provide seamless “behind the scenes” support. With no less than five years of programming experience each, our engineers will reduce your backlog significantly in just weeks using well-defined processes and effective tools.

Additional Business Benefits

Increased customer satisfaction due to improved product quality and shorter turnaround time for fixes. Faster time to market for major releases, with your development team free to focus exclusively on adding product features. More up-sell opportunities.
